PITMAN, NJ (January 30, 2002)-- For color pigment batch changes, filters often need to be switched to avoid contamination. With a Hurricane unit, this change can be done quickly and directly in the field. The filter is easily accessible and removable for any operator and the dual cycle technology requires only a single compact cartridge filter. Should the nature of the raw material change, switching from a filterless to a filtered system is also simple. Upgrades are available at a minimal cost instead of replacing the entire unit. 95% of all components are the same for filterless and filtered units which aids in reducing spare parts. |

The new Hurricane controller and operator interface, the HCU and the HSU, operate both models, allowing electronics to remain the same. The HSU and HCU offer flexibility for numerous applications with a compact and economic vacuum loader interface. Units are available in stainless steel or aluminum construction with FDA approved gaskets and are offered as single loaders or complete engineered central systems. The maximum batch conveying rate for self-contained units is 1400 lb. (590 kg.) per hour and 6,000 lb. (2,720 kg.) per hour for central receivers. | |
